ORGANIC KITCHEN DECORATING

When we purchased our humble abode almost three years ago, it came with a teal kitchen counter top. For a neutral loving kinda' girl, that just wouldn't do!!!...so out went the retro counter, and in came the new Kensington Maple counter top. I'm sure you'll agree that it suits my organic feel. I love filling the kitchen with vintage and new wooden spoons and rolling pins. My wooden dish rack and cutting boards have a beautiful contrast to all of the stainless steel cooking utensils. I'm thinking this girl will be spending even more time in the kitchen now!

You might find it hard to believe this, but I removed a double sink to fit in a deeper single sink. This was because it's much easier to wash items in one large sink ... and I needed all the useable counter space I could get out of this small space. I absolutely adore doing dishes, even refusing to own a dishwasher because I prefer doing all my dishes by hand.

I crocheted myself a huge new stack of dishcloths in anticipation of the new counter. It was hard to not list them in my shop and keep them for myself, but a girls got to treat herself now and again, right! Don't worry, there are plenty listed in my shop as well. They really help to make the space feel homey and cozy....and organically delicious! Now, I think I'll go and plan out tonights dinner menu. Ciao!
